Why do we onboard?

The onboarding process with a homeowner is designed to help them get out all their thoughts on their home.  We capture their thoughts alongside all the details of their home.  This allows us to create a comprehensive digital audit with their home’s important details, along with the homeowner’s desires.

Every homeowner has a home to-do list.  As we go through each room, we inevitably hear from the homeowner both about the things they dislike in the space, and what their vision is for the space.  Maybe that vision is completely fleshed out, maybe it is the seed of an idea that hasn’t fully germinated.  But they definitely have opinions.

The onboarding process helps us capture all of their thoughts and document them.  This gives the homeowner the freedom to let those thoughts release from their internal to-do list.  We know that homeowners, especially working families, have a lot on their minds!  Every aspect of their life maintains space in their brain, and that mental burden takes a toll.  As we onboard, the homeowner can let go of that mental to-do list knowing that we have it documented, prioritized, and ready to execute.

The next step is to collaborate on the prioritization of the to-do list.  More to come on that step in an upcoming blog post!
