Tasks:

Endless Austin summer

Objective: Ensure systems are performing optimally for our most demanding season.

Tasks:

  • Replace air filters and clean return vents

  • Clear and flush HVAC drain line

  • Clean refrigerant coils and interior shelves

  • Inspect refrigerator and freezer door seals

  • Test smoke/CO detectors

  • Clean dryer vent

  • Lubricate garage door

  • Inspect window and door screens

  • Inspect exterior lighting and replace bulbs

Fall to Winter

Objective: prepare for cooler months, indoor air quality, and safety

Tasks:

  • Replace air filters (final time of year)

  • Test heating function of HVAC

  • Clean and descale humidifiers, if present

  • Flush hot water heater

  • Test smoke and CO detectors (battery change before holidays)

  • Inspect fireplace or gas logs

  • Clean ceiling fans and light fixtures

  • Inspect doors/windows for drafts

  • Inspect insulation in attic and weather seals

  • Review year-end Home Health Report

Winter to Spring

Objective: Prepare for warmer months and check for winter wear

Tasks:

  • Replace all air filters and flush HVAC drain line

  • Clean AC condenser coils and inspect refrigerant lines

  • Clean refrigerator coils and door gaskets

  • Test smoke and CO detectors (replace batteries)

  • Check under-sink plumbing and toilets for leaks

  • Lubricate garage door rollers, springs, and tracks

  • Inspect weatherstripping and window seals

  • Check GFCI outlets and exterior lighting

  • Descale dishwasher and washing machine

  • Inspect attic and foundation for moisture or pests
